1WHAT KINDS OF INGREDIENTS ARE USED IN YOUR PURÉES?
All of our products are made from organic, whole, fresh and seasonal ingredients.
2DO YOU ACCOMMODATE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?
Yes, we offer a wide range of dietary preferences, such as vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free and nut-free.
3DO YOUR FOODS CONTAIN NUTS?
No, we do not use nuts in any of our purées. However, our purées are prepared in facilities that also process wheat, soybean, milk, eggs, fish, shellfish and other common allergens. If your child has a serious food allergy, please consult your pediatrician before subscribing.
4HOW IS YOUR FOOD MADE?
Our food is prepared in a FDA, USDA approved kitchen that has been certified by city, state, and federal authorities.
5CAN I CHOOSE WHICH PURÉES I RECEIVE?
We offer a variety of bundles to choose from, designed to accommodate your baby’s stage of starting solids. Our bundles are not customizable, however, we will do our best to accommodate substitutions if necessary. If your baby has any allergies, or simply doesn’t care for a particular flavor, please note it when selecting your bundle option at check out, and we will find a replacement for you. Replacement flavors are subject to availability.
6HOW LONG WILL MY PURÉES LAST?
When keeping your purées in a freezer, they will last up to three months. If thawed and stored continuously in the refrigerator, the purée is good for 48 hours. It is best to only thaw the purées you plan on serving the next day. Do not refreeze purées once they have thawed.
7IS IT SAFE TO THAW MY PURÉES ON THE KITCHEN COUNTER OVERNIGHT?
To avoid possible bacteria growth, we advise thawing purées in the refrigerator before serving. Most purées take approximately 14 hours to thaw in the refrigerator.
8WHEN WILL MY BUNDLE BE DELIVERED?
We deliver on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month (unless it falls on a holiday, in which case the bundle will be delivered on the first business day thereafter). Your bundle must be purchased by the Sunday prior to the 1st or 3rd Friday in order process your order and meet the next delivery date. If you place an order after that Sunday, your shipment will go out with the following scheduled delivery date.
9HOW DOES THE SHIPPED FOOD REMAIN FROZEN?
To ensure our food arrives frozen, our bundles are packed using dry ice. Please carefully open your bundle and KEEP IT OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Dry ice should never been handled with bare hands, and should not be ingested. Please safely discard the dry ice by carefully picking up the bag it was stored it, refraining from touching the ice contents and safely discard. Then immediately place your food in your freezer. Stork Bites is not responsible for mishandling dry ice.
10WHY DO YOUR PURÉES COME IN CUPS VS. POUCHES?
There are several benefits to feeding your baby using a cup and spoon. First, you are able to see the quality of the food you are feeding your little one, rather than blindly offering them a pouch to suck from without the ability to inspect the contents. Using a cup also allow for interaction between you and your baby. It allows your baby to experience foods with texture, aroma and color. It assist with the development of hand-eye and hand-mouth coordination. Your baby is able to take breaks when eating and stop eating when full. Using a cup helps your baby learn to chew and most importantly, reduces the risk of choking.
